€ 1.121 for Serious Request 2011!

3FM Serious Request is cooperation between [Dutch radio station] 3FM and the Dutch Red Cross. Each year, they jointly bring attention to a particular human disaster and try to collect as much money as possible with this action. The initiative was first held in 2004. For the entire week prior to Christmas, 3 DJs lock themselves up voluntarily in a House of Glass and play music requests for money. Without eating! At the same time, the DJs inform the public about the need for action.

More than 10 million mothers are currently affected by the impact of war and are alone in caring for their families. We wanted to help these mothers by contributing to this 3FM initiative (from December 18th to 24th). By helping these mothers, we save these families. So we organized multiple actions on our network. Together with all our players we reached an amount of € 1.121!
